LitterVent is our answer to cat box odor. It is a simple to use kit that converts a covered cat litter box into one that is ventilated and odor free. LitterVent provides a lightweight and virtually silent fan the connects to back of the cat box via a flexible hose and grommet. LitterVent also connects to a window insert that fits into your double hung window. The airflow is quiet. You won't hear it! The Window insert is made of polyethylene. It has a better insulation rating than the window it's inserted into. All in all, this product is an inexpensive solution to the cat box odor problem. |

$70.00 If you purchase all the parts of the product yourself, the cost would be about $50. Then there is the labor of assembling it. We feel that at this time, the price of $70 is reasonable. We will be evolving the product as we go. If we get to the point where we can buy in large quantities then we will adjust the price accordingly. |

The LitterVent kit includes: a hole saw to drill the hole into your covered
cat litter box. A grommet to fit that hole. A 3 ft hose that connects
to the inline fan unit. The inline fan unit comes with a multi volt power
supply. The fan is wrapped in soft foam to insulate its vibration from
the container. The Fan Unit is so quiet that we don't hear it at all in
our bedroom at night. A second 3 ft hose connects the fan unit to the
window insert via a PVC elbow. The elbow is capped with screening to prevent
any leaves or bees from exploring. The window Unit is made of a 2 1/2
inch thick by 6 inch by 36 inch polyethylene closed foam. Closed means
that the unit is water tight and air tight. The 2 1/2 inch thickness means
that the window insert has a better insulation rating than the window
itself. |

The LitterVent kit does not include: The covered cat box itself. The electric drill (although we do include the hole saw drill bit). A measuring tape. A serrated knife to cut the window panel. You will need a straight edge ruler to help you cut the window panel in a straight line. |
Better than you can imagine! We discovered that it takes only a small amount of air flow to cause the odor to not flow out the cat box opening. We evolved the product over many incarnations. If you hold a smoky candle in front of the cat box opening, you will see that the smoke gently flows into the box. That is all you need to virtually eliminate 100% of the odor. The quiet fan does not deter the cat from entering the box. In fact we have found that the cats enjoy going in a ventilated box. We have found that the ventilation actually slowly dries the deposits in the box so that it is easier to change the litter. This unit really works! Read Our Testimonial |
